Bucks All-Star Break Report

The Milwaukee Bucks have had a… to say the least, a difficult season. From injuries to disappointing signings the Bucks have not even been close to the top of the division, and are the only team to not have double-digit wins in the whole league.

They have, however, had a few surprisingly good players, who could develop into cornerstones for the franchise. Brandon Knight has had a very good season up to this point. He is averaging a career high 16 points and has about 4.5 assists per game. First-round pick Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a surprising good player in the starts he has had.

Another good player for the Bucks has been last years first round pick, John Henson, who is averaging almost 12 points per game while shooting 53% from the field. Henson looks to be a staple for the Bucks power forward spot for years to come.

One of the many disappointments for the Bucks has been center Larry Sanders. Ridiculed by injury early in the year, Sanders was expected to be the star for the Bucks this year, but is averaging only 7.7 points per game and just 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting a mere 47.3% from the free throw line.

Another huge disappointment has been the big bad Ersan Ilyasova who was expected to be a big part of the offense this year but has been hugely inconsistent.

Some people (like me) feel that the Bucks are tanking this year for a good draft pick. Although they wouldn’t be very good anyways they have been just awful this year and nobody really knows why. Although the Bucks are one of my favorite basketball teams, it has been extremely hard to root for them this year.
